Marcus Silva
Vice President and General Manager, South America
Marcus Silva is vice president and general manager, South America, at Air Products. He is responsible for enhancing the profitability and operational excellence of the company’s South America business.
Mr. Silva joined Air Products in 1996 in Brazil as a controls and instrumentation engineer. He served in roles of increasing responsibility in Operations and Maintenance in Brazil before accepting an international assignment to relocate to Europe where he served as the regional maintenance manager from 2004-2008, and as business unit manager for Generated Gases in Northern Europe from 2008-2009. Mr. Silva returned to Brazil, taking on several key business and leadership roles, before being named general manager, Brazil and Argentina, in 2017.
Mr. Silva holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Universidad Federal da Bahia. He also holds a Global Executive MBA from TRIUM, a consortium of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), NYU Stern School of Business, and HEC Paris.
